Ohio State Buckeyes fans have another reason to support the Houston Texans following Sunday’s Marvin Harrison Jr. trade.

The Texans reportedly acquired Harrison and a seventh-round pick from the Arizona Cardinals for a second and sixth-round pick, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The trade reunites Harrison with C.J. Stroud, his former Ohio State teammate.

Ohio State responded to Stroud and Harrison joining forces again.

“The duo is back!” the football team’s official X account wrote with a Photoshopped image of Harrison and Stroud standing side by side in Texans uniforms.

They worked well together in school, connecting for 14 touchdowns in 2022. Stroud finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting that season before becoming the No. 2 pick in next year’s draft, and the Cardinals selected Harrison fourth overall in 2024.

Harrison has yet to meet the immense hype, tallying 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns in 33 career NFL games. The 24-year-old reeled in just five catches for 85 yards and a touchdown this season before Sunday’s trade.

If Harrison looks anything like the receiver Stroud played with at Ohio State, the Texans could receive a big boost to their passing attack. The quarterback celebrated the addition after Houston’s Week 5 win over the Tennessee Titans.

“I think he brings a dynamic playmaker, somebody who runs great routes,” Stroud said of Harrison, per SportsTalk790’s Adam Wexler. “Can catch really any ball, and I’m just super excited to get with him. I loved him in college. Probably the hardest worker I’ve been around in my life.

“And then there’s who he is off the field. He’s a great dude, a quiet guy, but you definitely feel his presence. I’m excited to get him here, get him learning and get him around the other guys. I think it’s perfect for him. Fresh starts are good, so I’m excited to have him with us.”
