Kim Kardashian buried the hatchet with Martin Brundle after snubbing the Sky Sports broadcaster earlier this season, admitting that she “did not know the rules” of the Formula One grid walk.

Celebrities who are invited onto the grid before a race are obliged to speak to broadcasters if approached, according to the guidelines sent out to them beforehand. But that has not prevented several A-listers, such as Serena Williams, Ana De Armas and Cara Delevingne, all rejecting his questions in the past, with Kardashian becoming the latest in the long line to do so earlier this year.

Brundle approached Kardashian, who is dating seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, at the Monaco Grand Prix in June in the hope of speaking with the American celebrity before the race.

But Kardashian, standing alongside her sister Khloe, baulked at the idea and snubbed his advances, much to Brundle’s annoyance, before hurriedly walking away from the “VVIP” section that is positioned next to the start-finish line.

With Kardashian back in town for the weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix, it set up an appetising rematch and one that Brundle was very clearly not backing away from as he made a beeline for the same part of the grid.

But, it appeared, the fix was already in as a beaming Kardashian was waiting for him.

Brundle opened: “Hello Kim, how are you?”

Kardashian was only too happy to oblige this time around, as she replied: “ Did I not know the rules? Did we get off on the wrong foot?”

This time Kardashian was more willing to speak with Brundle, although any insight into Hamilton’s mindset pre-race was somewhat lacking.

Asked about how “her man” was feeling, a reference that appeared to spark a small reaction within Kardashian, she replied: “I’m just praying for the best tonight. Yes, [he is] very confident and so am I, just got to pray for the best.”

Brundle also asked Kardashian how she was finding her experience of F1, having now visited two races this season as a special guest of the Ferrari driver: “I think it’s amazing and fun and wild and something I’ve never seen before. It’s amazing.”

Hamilton was starting the Singapore Grand Prix in third position behind long-time rival Max Verstappen and his own Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc.
