On October 9th, at a press conference on the socio -economic development situation in the first nine months of the year held by the People's Committee of Tay Ninh province, the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade shared information about Tay Ninh's export market.
According to Ms. Chau Thi Le, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, the US is the province's main export market, with a turnover of 4.48 billion USD, an increase of 19.8% compared to the same period last year. Many product groups recorded positive growth, including machinery, equipment, tools and spare parts reaching 554 million USD, an increase of 54.6%; footwear reaching 603 million USD, an increase of 22.8%; and handbags, suitcases, hats and umbrellas reaching 276 million USD, an increase of 22.4%.
Exports of electrical wires and cables to the US reached $153 million, an increase of 32.3%; iron and steel products reached $142 million, an increase of 17.6%; and rattan, bamboo, and sedge products reached $111 million, an increase of 13.6%.
