According to AutoExpress , the Jaecoo 3 is expected to launch in the European market in early 2027. This is considered the smallest and most affordable SUV ever produced by Omoda & Jaecoo (a brand belonging to the Chery Group - China), targeting the mainstream customer segment. At the same time, the arrival of the Jaecoo 3 will pose a challenge to competitors such as the Ford Puma and Renault 4.
According to exclusive images revealed by AutoExpress , the Jaecoo 3 remains true to its boxy, off-road SUV design, a style that many have likened to a "mini Land Rover".
Notably, parent company Chery is also currently in a joint venture with Land Rover to develop and manufacture the new Freelander. This has led many to question whether the British automaker's design DNA is influencing the styling language of Jaecoo models.
Initial information indicates that the Jaecoo 3 is approximately 4.2 meters long, belonging to the small SUV/crossover segment. This model will have both all-electric (battery-powered) and hybrid versions (including a plug-in PHEV) to meet the electrification trend in Europe.
The official price has not yet been announced, but many sources suggest that the Jaecoo 3 could be priced at around £16,000-£17,000, equivalent to approximately 560-600 million VND.
Previously, the Omoda & Jaecoo brand surprised the UK and several European countries with the Jaecoo 7 model. Despite only launching in January 2025, the Jaecoo 7 quickly achieved sales of over 30,100 units in its first year.
Notably, the Jaecoo 7 topped the UK's monthly new car sales charts twice in Q1 2026 and has been one of the top three best-selling models in the UK since the beginning of 2026. The Jaecoo 7 alone contributed significantly to Omoda & Jaecoo's 4.8% market share in the UK.
One of the factors that makes the Jaecoo 7 attractive to customers is its design, which is said to have many similarities to the Range Rover Velar, but with a significantly lower price than other luxury European SUVs.
Beyond the UK, Omoda & Jaecoo has also experienced rapid growth in other countries such as Spain, Italy, and Poland, despite only recently entering the market. In the future, the Chinese car brand plans to introduce its products to Germany, considered the largest automotive industrial hub in Europe and one of the most demanding markets in the world .
Chery Automobile chairman Yin Tongyue told Auto Express: “In China, we like both very large and very small cars, but in Europe and other parts of the world, people prefer cars that fall somewhere between those two extremes.”
