The State Council of China has just issued a plan to build a "Beautiful China" for the period 2026-2030, setting the goal of comprehensively improving ecological and environmental quality by 2030.
The plan outlines 18 key targets for improving the quality of the ecological environment and reducing carbon emissions. Some of these targets are mandatory, such as a 17% reduction in CO2 emissions per unit of GDP compared to 2025. The target is to reduce PM2.5 concentrations in provincial cities to below 27 micrograms/m3.

In addition, China has set key priorities such as establishing a green, low-carbon production model, especially in key industries and sectors. The plan also encourages people to use resources efficiently, promote a green lifestyle, and minimize plastic use.
Over the past 10 years, China has continuously promoted green transformation and environmental improvement. Its citizens are increasingly feeling the positive impacts of this green transformation in their daily lives.
According to the plan, over 90% of Chinese people have expressed satisfaction with the ecological environment for five consecutive years.
